How everything works

Every feature on the website and in the app, what it does, and where to find it. 35 of them.

Finding things

Four different ways in, because people arrive wanting different things.

Home feed

Posts from creators you follow, mixed with things the app thinks you will like.

  1. Open Home — it is the first tab.
  2. Pull down to refresh.
  3. Tap a post to open it, double-tap to like.
  4. Tap a creator's name to see everything they have posted.

A post marked premium needs a subscription to that creator, or a one-off unlock.

Open on the webHome tab, the first icon in the bottom bar.

Channels

Broadcast rooms a creator runs, closer to a group than a profile.

  1. Open Channels and browse, or search for one by name.
  2. Join a public channel to see its posts in your feed.
  3. A paid channel asks once, then stays unlocked.
Open on the webHome tab, Channels segment at the top.

Creator directory

Every creator on the platform, filterable.

  1. Open Creators.
  2. Filter by category or sort by popularity.
  3. Open a profile to see their tiers, rates and availability.
Open on the webHome tab, Creators segment.

Spark and matching

Spark is the side of the app that introduces you to people rather than to content.

Spark

One profile at a time. Right if you want to talk, left if not.

  1. Open Spark.
  2. Swipe right to like, left to pass.
  3. When two people both swipe right, a chat opens between you.

You only appear in other people's Spark once your profile is 40% complete. The profile page shows the number and what is missing.

A photo, an age and something to talk about are what move it fastest.

Open on the webSpark tab, the flame in the bottom bar.

Your matches

Everyone who liked you back, and the conversations that came out of it.

  1. Open Matches.
  2. Tap a match to start or continue the chat.
Open on the webSpark tab, then the Matches header.

Profile strength

A score out of 100 that decides whether strangers ever see you.

  1. Open your profile.
  2. The bar above the tabs is your score.
  3. Each gap listed under it jumps to the field that fills it.

40 is the threshold to appear in Spark at all.

Interests are not decoration: the event seating matcher weights a shared interest at half of a social table's score.

Open on the webMe tab, then Edit profile.

Live streaming

Watching a stream is free unless the creator says otherwise; going live is a creator tool.

Watching a stream

Live video with a chat beside it.

  1. Open Live to see who is on air now.
  2. Tap a stream to join.
  3. Type in chat, or send a gift to get noticed.

A pay-per-view stream asks for payment once at the door.

Some streams charge coins to enter; the price is shown before you join.

Open on the webLive tab, the second icon in the bottom bar.

Going live

Broadcast from a browser, a phone, or OBS.

  1. Open Studio, then Streams.
  2. Choose Browser to go live from this device, or RTMP to stream from OBS.
  3. For OBS, copy the server URL and stream key into Settings → Stream.
  4. Name the stream, set a price if you want one, and start.

Browser streaming is sub-second but is not recorded.

OBS streaming has a few seconds of delay and is recorded, so it can be published afterwards.

Open on the webThe Create button in the middle of the bottom bar, then Go live.

Past streams

Recordings of streams that were set to record.

  1. Open Recordings.
  2. Tap one to watch it back.
Open on the webLive tab, then Past streams.

Events

Real-world gatherings — a dinner with strangers, a restaurant table, a workshop — with tickets, tables and a door.

Finding an event

What is happening near you, and what it costs.

  1. Open Events.
  2. Filter by city or type.
  3. Open one to see the time, the price and who is hosting.
  4. Join, or buy a ticket if it is paid.

Some events hide the exact address until shortly before they start. You get the neighbourhood now and the door later.

An event that needs approval will say so; you request a place rather than buying one.

Open on the webMe tab → Events, or the Events entry in the menu.

Tables and seating

Larger events seat people at tables, and who sits where is computed.

  1. Open the event and look at Tables.
  2. Pick a table yourself, or let the host seat you.

For a social table, shared interests are half the score. Filling in your interests changes who you end up sitting with.

Open on the webOpen the event in the app, then Tables.

Your pass and the door

A QR code that gets you in.

  1. Open the event you joined.
  2. Tap Pass to show the QR code.
  3. The host scans it at the door.
Open on the webMe tab → Events → the event → Pass.

Hosting an event

Create one from a template, or from scratch.

  1. Open Create event.
  2. Pick a template — dinner with strangers, restaurant table, house gathering, workshop and others — or start blank.
  3. The template fills in sensible defaults; change anything you like.
  4. Set the price, the capacity and whether people need approval.

Hosting for money requires being an approved event manager.

The platform fee on paid tickets is listed on the pricing page.

Open on the webEvents → the plus button.

Money

Three different balances that do different things. Mixing them up is the most common confusion on the platform.

Wallet

Real money. Buys subscriptions, tickets, calls and unlocks; can be withdrawn.

  1. Open Wallet.
  2. Top up by card or crypto.
  3. Withdrawals need identity verification first.

This is the balance a subscription is charged against. If it is short, the app says how much is missing and offers to top up.

Open on the webMe tab → Wallet.

Coins

What gifts are priced in. Bought with money, spent on creators.

  1. Open Coins.
  2. Buy a pack.
  3. Spend them on gifts during a stream or on a post.

Coins fans paid for and sent you as a creator are a separate balance. When cash-out is open they can be turned into money at the rate on the pricing page; while it is temporarily unavailable, the wallet says so and the coins stay in your balance.

Open on the webMe tab → Coins.

Subscriptions

A monthly charge that unlocks a creator's premium posts.

  1. Open a creator's profile.
  2. Pick a tier and confirm.
  3. The amount comes out of your wallet.
  4. Manage or cancel from Subscriptions.
Open on the webMe tab → Subscriptions.

Getting paid

What you earned, and how to take it out.

  1. Open Studio → Income to see the breakdown.
  2. Verify your identity once, under Withdrawals.
  3. Request a payout.
Open on the webMe tab → Studio → Income.

Orders and tickets

Everything you have bought, in one list.

  1. Open Orders.
  2. Switch to the Tickets tab for events.
Open on the webMe tab → Orders.

Talking to people

Text, voice, video, and the random modes for when you do not have anyone in mind.

Messages

Direct conversations, with photos, voice notes and paid unlocks.

  1. Open Inbox.
  2. Tap a conversation, or start one from someone's profile.

A creator can send a locked message that costs coins to open. The price is shown before you pay.

Open on the webInbox tab.

Voice and video calls

Paid one-to-one calls with a creator, billed by the minute.

  1. Open a creator's profile.
  2. Tap Voice call or Video call.
  3. You need enough wallet balance for the minimum duration before it will connect.
  4. You are charged for the minutes actually connected.
Open on the webCreator profile → the call buttons, or Connect.

Random chat

Paired with a stranger, text or video.

  1. Open Connect.
  2. Choose random text or random video.
  3. Skip to get someone new.
Open on the webConnect → Random.

Live map

Who is nearby and open to meeting.

  1. Open the map.
  2. Allow location once — it is asked for once, not on every visit.
  3. Tap someone to see their profile.
Open on the webConnect → Map.

Play

The entertainment hub, for when you want something to do rather than something to watch.

Raffles

Buy a ticket, a winner is drawn.

  1. Open Play → Raffles.
  2. Buy tickets.
  3. Winners are announced when the raffle closes.
Open on the webMe tab → Play → Raffles.

Music

Tracks creators have attached to their posts and streams.

  1. Open Play → Music.
Open on the webMe tab → Play → Music.

Becoming a creator

A short form. Your creator tools unlock as soon as you send it.

  1. Open Become a creator.
  2. Fill in the form and submit.
  3. Studio unlocks straight away. Going live and withdrawing need identity verification first.
Open on the webSettings → Become a Creator.

Posting

Photos, videos, text and carousels, free or premium.

  1. Tap Create.
  2. Add media and a caption.
  3. Choose who can see it: everyone, subscribers, or a specific tier.
  4. Post now, or schedule it.
Open on the webThe Create button in the middle of the bottom bar.

Subscription tiers

What you charge monthly, and what each tier includes.

  1. Open Studio → Subscription tiers.
  2. Set a price for each tier you want to offer.
  3. A tier with no price is not shown to fans.
Open on the webMe tab → Studio → Subscription.

Shop

Sell products alongside your posts.

  1. Open Studio → Shop.
  2. Add a product with a price and photos.
  3. Orders arrive in Studio → Orders.
Open on the webMe tab → Studio → Shop.

  1. Open Studio → Insights.
Open on the webMe tab → Studio → Insights.

Settings, safety and the things worth doing once.

  1. Open your profile, then Edit.
  2. Choose your city from the list rather than typing it — that is what puts you in the right local results.
  3. Pick interests from the chips.
Open on the webMe tab → Edit profile.

Identity verification

Required once before you can withdraw money.

  1. Open Settings → Verification.
  2. Upload a government ID and a selfie.
  3. Review usually takes a day or two.
Open on the webMe tab → Settings → Verification.

Password, two-factor, and every device signed in.

  1. Open Settings → Security to change your password or turn on 2FA.
  2. Settings → Sessions shows every signed-in device and lets you end any of them.
Open on the webMe tab → Settings → Security.

Privacy

Who can find you, message you and see what you post.

  1. Open Settings → Privacy.
  2. A private account approves followers one by one, from Follow requests.
Open on the webMe tab → Settings → Privacy.

Notifications

What the app is allowed to interrupt you for.

  1. Open Settings → Notifications.
  2. Turn off anything you do not want.
Open on the webMe tab → Settings → Notifications.
