Omegle is gone — but that serendipitous feeling of meeting a stranger online doesn't have to be. eZfan brings random video chat back, with something Omegle never had: a way to earn from your audience.

In November 2023, Omegle — the original random chat platform — shut down permanently after 14 years. Founder Leif K-Brooks posted a farewell letter after the site had become the target of a federal lawsuit alleging that Omegle facilitated the abuse of a minor. He wrote that operating it was “no longer sustainable, financially nor psychologically”, and closed it down entirely.
The desire to meet strangers online did not disappear with it. eZfan is our take on random chat: an account is required, either side can end a conversation at any time, you can block or report people, and creators can earn from the audience they meet.
